Tempered glass

Description

Tempered glass is a safety glass with increased strength both physically and thermally. It is heated up to about 700 degrees and then rapidly cooled "quenched" the toughenig will create 'balanced internal stresses' which would mean that if broken the glass would crumble into small, less harmful pieces as opposed to dangerous large shards. Tempered glass is 4-5 times stronger than annealed. And our tempered glass meets the AN/NZS 2008-1996 safety glazing standards, ANSI Z971-2009, CPSC-16CFR 1201 Standards, and BS6206:1981 standards.

We are also able to supply the heat soaked tempered glass.
